Remember The Gong Show of Yesteryear?

To benefit the
Cancer Society, our former classmate, Kathy Stephens Shropshire, organized and
directed a talent show entitled, Gong With the Wind. It took place
Saturday, April 16, 2005 at Talladega's
Historic Ritz Theatre on the courthouse square.
To support this cause, MHS alumni, Jerri Lynn Haynes Martin, Susan Harmon
Haynes, Lynn Camp Howell, Artie Thomas Spindler & Christine Lathem performed a
lip-sync skit to the song, "Looking for Food in All The Wrong Places," from
the hit Broadway play, "Menopause
the Musical." Believe it or not, they didn't get gonged!

Shropshire managed to produce an evening packed with more fun than actual
talent ... just like the Gong Show is supposed to be. GREAT JOB!
